"Remember This..."

This is me.
Who I am.
What I will be.
What I've done.
What I remember.
And what chooses to remember me.
I hide nothing.

My grandmother and grandfather were born on the same day 20 minutes apart in the same town, started “courting” early on, began “dating” in college (there was a secret underground tunnel that connected the boy’s dorms to the girl’s dorms so they used to sneak to see each other), and then got married soon after. They were together their whole lives. They had five children. Their love for each other was amazing and encompassing. They died just over three months apart. Grandpa died of a form of Emphysema, Grandma died from symptoms of Alzheimer’s.
