My dad always used to tell me that Mount St. Helen’s was a volcano that erupted in celebration of my birth, since my birthday was the day before it blew. I grew up most of my life thinking this was pretty cool and that I was pretty gosh darn special.
Then I found out that it was the deadliest and most destructive volcano in American history. So in celebration of my birth: 57 people died, 250 homes were destroyed, 47 bridges taken out, 15 miles of railway and 185 miles of highway were obliterated, and nearly 230 sq. miles of forest was gone.
I am officially an asshole since birth.
